The Red Tea Detox is the latest cleansing and weight loss brew to hit the market. It is described as a secret African drink that is widely acclaimed for its ability to burn a pound of fat every 72 hours.

This brand was my absolute favorite amongst them all! This is not only a detox tea, but rather a daily routine that one should plan on adapting to upon purchasing this product.

The detox program is divided into three parts. These include: diet, exercise, and willpower.

I’ve found the Red Detox program to have almost zero side effects. You may experience a slight headache or nausea during the first few days but this will subside in no time.

The Red Tea Detox program comes with a lot of benefits and a few downsides (I will be posting more blogs in the future regarding the exact meal plan and exercise routine I followed during these detox periods). However, the pros clearly outweigh the cons.

Focusing primarily on weight loss alone, I was able to lose a whooping 12 pounds within the first month of maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regime, in addition to drinking the tea 2-3 a days.

I became curious about Organifi Red Juice after having tried their Green Juice, and loving it! Although it is called a “juice”, Organifi contains many of the same ingredients as red tea that aids in the process of weight loss and maintaining a healthy, youthful appearance.

Now being that I love my fellow health-mates and that I am dedicated to providing you 101 factual, healthy lifestyle & fitness tips (hence the naming of the blog), I have not only purchased this product in a attempt to write a review about it, but personally consumed this product for 30+ days. So here’s my personal review regarding Organifi Red Juice:

*Please note that in addition to drinking the tea twice a day (once in the morning and once before my last meal of the day), I also completed some form of cardio (ie., treadmill, elliptical, fitness bike), for 30-45 minutes every other day and consumed the recommended 1,600 caloric intake daily which was based on my height and weight*

This is important because your expectations need to be realistic. 

If you are a couch potato eating fried potatoes and do as much exercise as a potato then don’t expect any miracles.

However if you live a relatively healthy lifestyle and looking for an extra boost then this product may be of great help, as it was to me. Despite the longer mixing time and slightly bitter taste, I was able to lose 6 pounds over the course of my 30 day regime.

You may or may not get the same results as I did but that of course, will all depend on you.

In fact, Organifi actually state on their website (albeit in microscopic sized font at the bottom of the page) that all of their acclaimed benefits are: “In combination with a healthful diet/exercise program”.

Possible Side Effects:

In general, drinking red tea is very safe. Although negative side effects are extremely rare, some have been reported.

One case study found that drinking large amounts of rooibos tea daily was linked to an increase in liver enzymes, which can often indicate a liver problem. However, this was only one complex case.

Certain compounds in the tea can stimulate the production of the female sex hormone, estrogen.

Some sources suggest that people with hormone-sensitive conditions, such as breast cancer, may want to avoid this type of tea.

However, this effect is very mild and it is likely that you would need to consume very large amounts before you would see an effect.
